EC call for evidence and public consultation on Circular Economy Act

The European Commission launched a call for evidence and a public consultation on the new Circular Economy Act, currently under preparation.

According to the Commission, the Circular Economy Act will enhance the EU’s economic security, competitiveness, while promoting more sustainable production and circular economy business models and decarbonisation. The Act will facilitate the free movement of ‘circular’ products, secondary raw materials and waste. It will also increase the supply of high-quality recycled materials and stimulate demand for these materials in the EU.

All individuals, public authorities and stakeholders (e.g. businesses, non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations) within and outside the EU are welcome to contribute to the consultations.
